Highfield Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)​

Aim

This course is intended for individuals wishing to become a paediatric first-aider in the workplace where they have responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. The qualification gained is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in this industry and is assessed by practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.

Course Duration

This course is carried out over 2 consecutive days

Course Content 

• The Roles and Responsibilities of a First-Aider

• Safety precautions within a childcare environment

• Dealing with medication/accident forms/calling for an ambulance and first aid boxes

• Treatment of unconscious casualties

• CPR and choking

• Recognising and treating illness

• Bites, stings, poisons

• Burns, scalds and electric shock

• Sprains, strains and fractures

The cost of this course is £140.00 + VAT per person.
