Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF)

Aim

This course is designed to provide learners with the basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices essential in the workplace.  It is a requirement for members of staff to undergo the necessary and relevant Health and Safety training.

Course Duration 

The total qualification time (TQT) for this course is 10 hours and of this 6 hours are recommended as guided learning (GL).

Course Content

This course provides delegates with understanding of:

• Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities of employers and employees.

• Benefits of good Health and Safety.

• Risk assessment and how they can reduce accidents. 

• Near misses and ill-health.

• Typical hazards and controls in a workplace.

• What causes accidents, near misses and ill-health.

• The importance of recording accidents, near misses.
